Do you
believe in the power of runes?
|
Well,
if you believe or not it's obvious that the first runes were strongly
connected with magic thoughts.
We don't know from where the runes originates, but if it was possible to ask aViking about the runes, the answer should probably be that the runes descends from the gods. According to Scandinavian mythology the father of the gods, Oden, had to sacrifice one of his eyes to learn the secret of the runes. That makes it very easy to recognize Oden on amulets and pictures from the Viking Age. You just have to look for an one-eyed person. |

The old 24 runerow
When
you talking about runes as magic symbols it's almost always the 24 old
runerow that is associated with the magic force. All of the runes have
their own name and each of them are connected with some force. Just to
write the runes in the right order gives you a strong protection. There
is an ancient legend that says you should have luck in your life if you
own an object with runes on it.
